Spring Into a Decor Refresh

Spring Into a Decor Refresh

We are welcoming the spring sun with warm arms at our store in Zelienople, and we hope you’ve been enjoying the sun and slight breeze in the air. As we close the door on sweaters and scarves for the year, we’re ringing in spring with a fresh set of decor ideas we’d love to share with you!

Color Palettes

Not into the vibrant pastels usually associated with spring? We have good news for you– darker shades are at the forefront of 2026’s trends. Rich, earthy tones like forest and sage green and ochre are making their way to the spotlight. Pair them with cream and other light, neutral colors for a refreshed, homey look that defies the spring norm.

While we’re talking color shake ups, jewel tones are projected to be huge for 2026. Plums and dark blues set the stage for light colored and pure glass accents. These shades will also bring out the beauty in your floral displays. Mix light, calm flowers like white tulips, lily of the valley, and magnolias to create contrast with the boldness of a darker seasonal palette.

Decorating Trends

Consider packing away your polished chrome and silver pieces for warmer metal tones this spring. Brass and aged gold pair nicely with warm, neutral accents that bring a personal, lived-in vibe to your home. Don’t be afraid to embrace textures like rattan, wicker, and grained wood for a layered look.

“Cottagecore” is a current major buzz word that cues a nostalgic, heirloom-heavy aura. Think scalloped edges and cruching on textiles from sheer eyelet fabric to lush, embroidered cotton shams. For wood pieces, consider seeking out textured grain in a craftsman style to enhance that retro, cozy ambiance you’re building in your home. Add an elaborate tapestry as a focal point for the ultimate heritage decor display.

As far as patterns and prints, florals are still all the rage. The trick to getting pattern savvy this year is to embrace darker, romance-era blooms and flora and fauna prints for some added flair. If you’re a fan of jacquard or stripes, this spring season is officially yours to embrace! Patterns, especially those set against dark earth tones and simple, organic fabrics will give your home a handmade and ornate feel at the same time. Simply put: let’s lean into Bridgerton and Brontë styles.
